WOODEN WICK CANDLE CARE
- To properly care for a wooden wick Nā Pali candle, consistently trim the wick to 3mm before each burn, ensuring the charred wood from the previous burn is removed.
- Trim the wick using wick trimmer or snip off the charred wood with your fingers, discarding the debris.
- Burn the candle for 1-3 hours during the first burn to allow the wax to fully melt across the surface, preventing tunnelling and ensuring even burn.
- Avoid burning the candle for longer then 4 hours, as this can lead to overheating and uneven burning
- Keep the candle away from drats and in well-ventilated area.
- Use a snuffer to extinguish the flame rather then blowing it out, this helps prevent smoke and soot and keeps the wick in good condition for the next burn
- If the flame is too high or smoky, trim the wick to 3mm
- if the wick is drowning in wax, use a paper towel or napkin to soak up some of the excess wax
